Intown's KidSpace After School Program is childcare that provides a healthy balance of structure and free play in an uplifting, screen-free environment. Children will enjoy supervised free play on our state-of-the-art equipment, rollerskating, high-quality arts and crafts, cozy spots for quiet time, reading and homework, super fun games - both indoors and out, and most importantly, quality time with our fantastic KidSpace staff.
The KidSpace Department at Intown is distinct from our Recreational, Team, and class-based programs. KidSpace allows children to explore a variety of healthy activities, be with other children, experience positive interactions with loving grownups, and enjoy themselves outside of the structure of school and while they're away from home.
KidSpace is rooted in Growth Mindset, a positive and empowering psychology developed by Stanford Researcher and Professor of Psychology, Carol Dweck, PhD. Growth is one of Intown Stars’ five core values - it is based on Dr. Dweck’s book, Mindset.
Hi, my name is Coach Caleb and I've joined the team to launch new, amazing kid programs at Intown Stars.
I am a camp professional with more than 15 years of experience working with kids and have been running camps for the last five years. I led workshops with the American Camp Association and have overseen camp accreditation processes for multiple camps. I'm a former high school biology teacher for Gwinnett County, and I have a B.S. from the University of Georgia (but had to wait until 2021 to see my dawgs win the National Championship).
My specialty is building and growing new camps. I started my camp career at an old, beautiful YMCA camp in California called Camp Ocean Pines, where I spent five years turning it into one of the premier camps on the California coast. Most recently I assisted Zac Brown in building an amazing inclusive overnight summer camp in Fayetteville, Georgia.
I’m now excited to help Intown Stars build an amazing, premier camp and after-school program. Our intention is to build a program that is filled with active fun play as well as specialty classes. We will be adding a sports court for basketball, pickleball, gaga ball, and volleyball, among other kid favorites (even roller skating!). We'll also have art, dance, gymnastics, tricking, and parkour activities.

KidSpace FAQ
What ages can enroll?
Kids can attend after school care starting at age 5 until they are 12. Students must be 5 prior to the day they arrive. We cannot have exceptions.
What is the daily schedule?
Daily pickup starts at 2:15 p.m. and parent pickup ends at 6:30 p.m. Your kid will have daily access to our KidSpace room, North Side gym, Art Room, and two outside fields. There will be crafts, games, roller skating, gaga, sports, quiet space for reading/homework, and lots more! Kids will be able to choose freely where they would like to go each day. Our staff will have planned fun games, projects, and activities that will change each day.
Are recreation classes included?
Our recreation classes are offered at a 10% discount, but will be purchased separately. We have separated the classes to ensure that each family gets the exact class that they want their child enrolled in.
What about snacks?
We will be offering daily healthy snacks. If campers want additional snacks, they can purchase them from the hospitality desk.
Do you pick up from my child's school?
We need three confirmed students from each school to be able to confirm transportation. Sign up so that we can add your school today!

Is there homework help?
There will be a quiet space for your kids to work in, but we will be unable to provide homework help.
